Proofing, ordering, proofing, ordering, emailing, proofing..... That's pretty much it! Still running behind on everything and I apologise immensely to my wonderfully patient clients who are being so understanding with me! I promise, I'm working my butt off to get everything caught up :-)

I have almost finished proofing images for the 'D' family so thought I would add an extra preview. Baby 'S' was so great, we chatted and giggled and she was just so well behaved for me! C & G - Your gallery will be up soon, promise :-)

I have to share another funny with you :-D (getting sick of them yet, lol!)

GIVING BIRTH AT 65

With all the new technology regarding fertility recently, a 65-year-old friend of mine was able to give birth. When she was discharged from the hospital and went home, I went to visit.

"May I see the new baby?" I asked

"Not yet," She said "I'll make coffee and we can visit for a while first."

Thirty minutes had passed, and I asked, "May I see the new baby now?"

"No, not yet," She said.

After another few minutes had elapsed,

I asked again, "May I see the baby now?"

"No, not yet," replied my friend.

Growing very impatient, I asked, "Well, when can I see the baby?"

"WHEN HE CRIES!" she told me.

"WHEN HE CRIES?" I demanded. "Why do I have to wait until he CRIES?"

"BECAUSE I FORGOT WHERE I PUT HIM, O.K.?

LOL!

To finish I've been tagged! Not once, not twice but three times and in one night, can you believe it, lol! So here I go:

Six quirky things about me:

1) I sing-talk all the time with the girls and I make up little songs with their names or toys etc I'm no good and it's a bit weird but I do it anyway :-)

2) I'm a big kid and will often play on the swings or slide when I take the girls to the park, even when other parents are around :-)

3) I have to heat my apples up in the microwave before I can eat them

4) I LOVE horror movies, the gorier the better

5) I love bacon but can't stand pork

6) I don't eat vegetables, I can't even force myself too! Well, I eat potatoes, lettuce and carrot but the rest, yuck! :-)

1. Ten years ago… I was 19yrs old, had been living with my boyfriend (who is now my hubby) for 2yrs, struggling to look for a job that paid the bills and had no dreams at all about what I wanted to do with my life

2. 5 things on my to do list… Get caught up with work ASAP, look into a few new product ideas, get more product samples, take the girls out driving to find some new locations, buy a new pair of jeans ;-)

3. Snacks I enjoy… Choc chip cookies, yoghurt, warm scones with jam & cream (Yuummmmmmyyyyyyyyyy!)

4. If I were a millionaire… Hubby would retire and stay home to look after the girls, I would throw everything I could into my photography business, I would travel Oz and the world to meet my online buddies, I'd be driving a hybrid and we'd live in an environmentally friendly house

5. Places I’ve lived… I'm boring, I've only ever lived in NSW

The B family have been patiently awaiting their online gallery and I have almost finished so really wanted to share a few more of their images! I always tell my families to just ignore me and concentrate on each other so that I can capture the true connection between them and this family did just that. I adore how natural they were with each other, such a beautiful family!

And another laugh for ya because I read this last night and actually "laughed out loud" :-)

BANNED FROM K- MART...........

This is why women should not take men shopping against their will.

After Mr. and Mrs. Fenton retired, Mrs. Fenton insisted her husband accompany her on her trips to K -Mart.

Unfortunately, Mr. Fenton was like most men--he found shopping boring and preferred to get in and get out.

Equally unfortunately, Mrs. Fenton was like most women--she loved to browse. One day Mrs. Fenton received the following letter from her local K -Mart.

Dear Mrs. Fenton,

Over the past six months, your husband has been causing quite a commotion in our store. We cannot tolerate this behaviour and may be forced to ban both of you from the store. Our complaints against Mr. Fenton are listed below and are documented by our video surveillance cameras.

1. June 15: Took 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them in people's carts when they weren't looking.

2 . July 2: Set all the alarm clocks in Housewares to go off at 5-minute intervals.

3. July 7: Made a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading to the women's restroom.

4. July 19: Walked up to an employee and told her in an official voice, 'Code 3 in Housewares. Get on it right away.'

5. August 4: Went to the Service Desk and tried to put a bag of M&M's on lay -b y.

6. September 14: Moved a 'CAUTION - WET FLOOR' sign to a carpeted area.

7. September 15: Set up a tent in the camping department and told other shoppers he'd invite them in if they would bring pillows and blankets from the bedding department.

8. September 23: When a clerk asked if they could help him he began crying and screamed, 'Why can't you people just leave me alone?'

9. October 4: Looked right into the security camera and used it as a mirror while he picked his nose.

10. November 10: While handling guns in the hunting department, he asked the clerk where the antidepressants were.

11. December 3: Darted around the store suspiciously while loudly humming the ' Mission Impossible' theme.

12. December 6: In the auto department, he practiced his 'Madonna look' by using different sizes of funnels.

13. December 18: Hid in a clothing rack and when people browsed through, yelled 'PICK ME! PICK ME!'

14. December 21: When an announcement came over the loud speaker, he assumed a foetal position and screamed 'OH NO! IT'S THOSE VOICES AGAIN!'

And last, but not least ..

15. December 23: Went into a fitting room, shut the door, waited awhile, then yelled very loudly, 'Hey! There's no toilet paper in here!'

Out of the mouths of babes ...

Due to a power outage, only one paramedic responded to the call.

The house was very dark so the paramedic asked Kathleen, a 3-yr old girl to hold a flashlight high over her mommy so he could see while he helped deliver the baby.

Very diligently, Kathleen did as she was asked. Heidi pushed and pushed and after a little while, Connor was born. The paramedic lifted him by his little feet and spanked him on his bottom.

Connor began to cry.

The paramedic then thanked Kathleen for her help and asked the wide-eyed 3-yr old what she thought about what she had just seen.

Kathleen quickly responded, "He shouldn't have crawled in there in the first place ... smack him again!"

Two Beautiful Girls....

If you're in NSW then you'd know how perfectly gorgeous the weather was this weekend and not only did we have a beautiful weekend but I got to share Saturday with two stunning girls eating strawberries, having a tea party, reading stories AND building sandcastles. I couldn't have asked for a better weekend!

Sick . Tired . Blah....

Yep, that pretty much sums up how I've felt the past 4wks! Firstly, we all came down with tonsillitis, bronchitis and wonderful ear infections, then after recovering from those we now have these never-ending head colds with lots of snotty noses and coughing fits through the night (lovely picture, isn't it??!!). So not much computer time the last few weeks so again I'm running behind but am quickly trying to get caught up with everything now, phew!

To start I wanted to share this funny email that I was sent from my Mum recently! It gave me a laugh and you know how much I like to share the laughter:

Why God Made Mums
Answers given by 2nd grade school children to the following questions:

Why did God make mothers?
1. She's the only one who knows where the sticky tape is.
2. Mostly to clean the house.
3. To help us out of there when we were getting born.

How did God make mothers?
1. He used dirt, just like for the rest of us.
2.. Magic plus super powers and a lot of stirring.
3. God made my Mum just the same like he made me. He just used bigger parts.

What ingredients are mothers made of?
1. God makes mothers out of clouds and angel hair and everything nice in the world and one dab of mean..

1. We're related.

1. Mothers don't do spare time.
2. To hear her tell it, she pays bills all day long.

What would it take to make your Mum perfect?
1. On the inside she's already perfect.. Outside, I think some kind of plastic surgery.
2. Diet. You know, her hair. I'd diet, maybe blue.

If you could change one thing about your Mum, what would it be?
1. She has this weird thing about me keeping my room clean. I'd get rid of that.
2. I'd make my Mum smarter. Then she would know it was my sister who did it and not me.

Wow! I do have an older daughter! LOL! I know it's rare but Taylah at her Diva best!

This is what happens when I say: "Babe, can you hold this umbrella for mummy?"

5 secs before a huge tanty about said umbrella above, lol! Oh and tantrums now come with screaming at the top of her lungs like she is being murdered and slamming of her bedroom door. Can you please tell me it stops sometime before she's 18yrs old???!!!!

Shae is growing way too fast and drooling everywhere....

And she likes to eat grass....

And she knows how cute she is! :-)

I really, really, REALLY, do talk quite alot, lol! I had the wonderful pleasure of meeting the gorgeous Lil Miss S this morning and her poor Mum and Dad were so gracious in putting up with my constant chatter :-D Miss S didn't mind at all and actually goo'd and gaa'd straight back at me, lol!

C & G - It was so nice to meet you and capture your beautiful little girl! She has the most gorgeous personality and I'm sure she will be a constant source of joy as she grows! Here's a quick preview for you :-)

And I have to post a couple of recent pics of Shae! She's being a big girl and sitting up on Taylah's new bed :-)

I love my job, I really truelly do! This morning I got to spend a couple of hours at the beach in the stunning autumn light with 2 beautiful girls and their family! Lil Miss I was absolutely gorgeous and completely fascinated by the camera & Miss J was very much a toddler and had me (and her family, lol!) working very hard to get even the littlest smile :-) You will see though that it isn't always about beautiful smiles :-D

B family - Thank you so much for letting me share in your morning, your girls are breathtaking and it was a pleasure to be able to capture them enjoying their time at the beach! I hope you enjoy your preview:

Laughs & Lollipops....

Lots happening at the moment and these previews are very late but here I am finally updating :-D

First preview is an awesome family that traveled up to the Hunter Valley from Sydney and wanted me to capture some "fun" moments before one of the gorgeous ladies jets off to live in London again! I tell ya, I haven't laughed so much during a session EVER! LOL!

Kerry, Daniel, Jodi & Kate - You guys are fantastic and I hope you had as much fun as I did! :-)

Next preview is two beautiful kidlets that I had the pleasure of spending last Sunday with! Miss A read me a book (along with some help from Daddy ;-)), we hung out at the park eating lollipops and blowing bubbles and then we made it back home for Mr B to have a kip and Miss A to conduct her own photo session, lol!

Tom & Nicole - It was such a pleasure to finally meet with you and your little ones! A & B were perfect and I hope you enjoy your preview!

Sunshine . Ice Cream . Flowers....

Can you believe this weather??!! It's been shocking but what's worse is that it rained pretty much the whole school holidays so my plans of lovely autumny-throwing-leaves-in-the-air photos went completely out the window *blah* However, it did decide to stop raining on Sunday and was actually a very beautiful sunny day so we took the girls and headed in to town for some sun, ice cream, sand, walking, playing, more walking, more playing, rolling down hills, more walking, oh and more playing, lol! And of course my extra appendage (aka: my camera) came along:

MMMMmmmmmm! It was THE best ice cream, yummy!

Childhood....

When I was a kid, I had a second family! Sharon was my second Mum and lived up from us in a block of flats. I practically lived with her and her kids, Mandy and Jamieson! Since I was an only child up until I was 9yrs old, Mandy was my little Sister and Jamieson was a brother. When they moved out of the flats, I still went and stayed with them all the time. Sharon was quirky and funny and just Sharon! She would say I should be a giggle doll because I would giggle the whole time I was with them, lol! Our lives went on, she had another little girl Emma, we moved out of the flats and Sharon and family moved to Darwin.

We lost contact for a while but she was always my second Mum. You know the family friends who are just always there, even when they aren't??? Jamieson and I would always see each other. Sometimes a year, 2yrs would go by but then we would run into each other or a call would come out of the blue and it was like that time never even went by. Jamieson started a family and we kept in contact with each other more often. When I got married Sharon and Mandy (and Jamieson and his little brood) had to be there and it was great seeing them again. So life went on again, Sharon would send down presents for Taylah and we would chat about once a year. She came for a visit when Jassy was about 6wks old and we talked and talked and talked. After that though, we sort of lost track of each other. I would ask Jamieson how she was and she was always good but I never picked up the phone myself. I'm really bad for that, I spend the day thinking, I should call, I should call and just never pick up the phone! I need to learn to just pick up the phone!

So we had a visit from Jamieson last night, he tried converting us to country music. He swears that if we spent the day with him listening to "his" music that we would fall in love with it, lol! Mark and him had quite a few drinks, he left for home this morning and we had breakfast, got dressed and went to the shops. Then I got the phone call that I never thought I would get, it was Jamieson and he was telling me that "Mum" (Sharon) had been in a fatal car accident last night! I didn't understand, I thought it was a joke! I knew he would never joke like that and he didn't sound like he was joking but it must be a bad, bad joke! Unfortunately, no, it wasn't! My second Mum is gone and now I feel like a part of my childhood is gone. She was such a figment of fun and laughter from my childhood and she was always there, was always going to be there. Even if we never spoke again, she was just always there!

I know the memories will always linger but its hard to think that I will never chat with her again or she will never get to meet Shae! I will never laugh with her again!

Thanx for letting me get that out guys! We will be back to our regular programming soon!

So everyone has probably already heard of Cheeky Little Soles but I just stumbled across them the other day and couldn't help but tell you all about them! Aren't they adorable and I can't wait to order the Pink - Polar Boots for my Shae-Bean! Every little girl needs a pair of those, heck I wish they made them in my size :-D

Another Post Already....

I know, I know *blah blah blah blah blah* at least that's what I usually hear when I start talking too myself, lol, so I'm not going to bore you with more ramble I'm just going to share some pics :-D *Then I'm going to wake hubby who is snoring on the lounge and drag him to bed because yet again I am posting at a ridiculous hour and I told him I wasn't going to be long! Shhhh, don't tell!* :-D

Ok, I can't help myself, I watched Coyote Ugly for the first time in ages and now I have LeAnn Rimes going in my head "Baby your the right kind of wrong", "Lovin you, isn't really something I should do" and on and on and on! Don't get me wrong I LOVE that song (sad I know!) but come on, enough is enough already! X-S

And just to leave you with something completely random, I have a new obsession with Smarties! I think I'm addicted *blush again*.

Modern Day Cinderella....

My Taylah girl is indeed a modern day cinderella with some very drama queen traits thrown in so you can imagine how fun it is on a day-to-day basis, lol! Anyway, I love shoe shopping and stumbled upon these beauties at Rivers and as soon as I seen them I squealed with glee and *knew* they were perfectly hers in everyway! Not made of glass but I'm convinced that if Cinderella lived in the 21st century these would be her glass slippers :-D

Not sure if I've told you before but I am madly in love with B&W! I truly think that nothing beats an amazing B&W image and love to play around with loads of different conversions/actions to get the very best B&W's for each individual image. So I was recently asked "what B&W actions I use?" and thought that since I get asked quite a bit and I do really love to share my little treasures, I would answer it here:

I am not ashamed to say that I do use actions :-O but I always tweak/mix/blend to suit each image. I also do play with my own conversions by using gradient map, levels, curves and different tones but my very favourite B&W actions and the ones I use most are: Wynona's and Amanda's. You really can't go wrong with either and they are both not only amazing photographers who I adore but beautiful people too!

Oh, before I share a few pics from the other day, I have to brag a little :-D. Taylah had a Fun Run at school today and was so excited that she wore her runners all Tuesday afternoon and put them on first thing when she woke up this morning, along with that she asked about a millions times "Mum/Dad, do you like my new runners???" while modeling her shoes continuously, lol! So we picked her up from school and she ran 30 laps (30 laps people!) and came second! Yay! Go Taylah, go Taylah! :-D

I'm not at all a "youtuber", infact I vowed, along with myspace and anything that is hugely popular (don't ask me why I have no idea but I stand by my decision :D), never to visit or have anything to do with it BUT for some reason tonight I was compelled to visit and low and behold I came across this gorgeous clip called Laughing Baby:

Isn't that the most adorable thing you've ever seen, lol! It definitely had me laughing out loud! :D

I have also given my logo yet another make over! If you hadn't noticed I'm not one for keeping things the same for too long, I've always been this way. When I was a kid, every few months my hair was a different colour or my room would be completely rearranged. With my business I've had a hard time branding because I don't think my style fits into any category. My photography can be; bright, fun, soft-pop, moody, artsy, whimsical, real, raw etc. So I was saying to hubby last night that I'm trying to come up with a logo that incorporates all these different aspects or as I was describing it, a logo that is fun AND artsy. Hubby then pointed out that I wanted it to be "fartsy" (and if you're like me and have the sense of humour of a 2yr old, you will now be laughing as much as I was during our convo last night!) lol! So this is what I've come up with, my new "fartsy" logo:

Lets see how long it lasts ;D

Not Happy Jan...

No, not at all!

I love the rain, truelly adore it! I use to love Summer, hot days on the beach, flirting with boys and sunbaking (not to be done now days of course, I'm a proud slip, slop, slapper and very happily married! :D). But then Summer turned into heat waves and no rain and it just wasn't fun any more, too dang hot and I refuse to believe it's because I'm getting old and can no longer handle the heat, lol! So I started looking forward to the cooler weather, cold nights snuggling up with hubby and warm, thick clothes straight from the dryer *sigh*. And rainy days were the best! You could stay in all day watching TV under a doona, bliss!

However, since starting my business, I pray for no rain because rain is not conducive to great photos, clouds yes, rain no! So you can imagine how disappointed I was today when I met up with a gorgeous family for a session (who travelled almost 2hrs to get to me! *blush*) only to be rained out! So disappointed! They were so great and completely understanding and I was lucky enough to at least get a little time with them before needing to head off.

W & B - Your boys are absolutely adorable and I look forward to a fun filled proper session soon! Thank you for your time today, I hope your trip back home wasn't too wet! And although we didn't get much time, here's a few pics for ya:

Not Just the Baby...

You've probably noticed that I haven't shared many pics of my big girls lately! Well, I haven't really had the time to take them out and I feel completely uninspired to take pics of them around the house. I feel horrible about that but everything I take of them lately just leaves me thinking "blah". I have idea's but no motivation or time to do them, my goal soon is to get them out for some urban shots! Anyway, I do have Taylah & Jas to share with you today and of course, Shae:

Lil Miss A....

I had the wonderful pleasure of capturing gorgeous Miss A this morning. She is 4wks, the tiniest little thing I've ever seen and absolutely stunning :-) She was quite the little trooper and was adamant in staying awake right up until the end, when she finally settled tummy down on the dining table, lol!

School Days...

I never posted about this but 2008 is Taylah's first year at school, yay! I'm so proud of how she's doing because she was so painfully shy at Daycare but is completely coming out of her shell at school.

Now don't get me wrong, there were tears and not just from me (Hey, I can admit I'm a big baby and an emotional mess when it comes to the girls, lol!) but she's gaining confidence on a daily basis and is handling the school work like a Pro! She has received 2 awards, a good behaviour prize, loves homework (I hope that sticks!) and enjoyed her 1st ever birthday party! So I think we can say that it's been a huge success and I'm looking forward to the rest of the year!

Now onto something equally as important, (please excuse the following soppiness but I just gotta :-D). I want to wish my wonderful and ever so fabulous, handsome, patient and caring Husband a wonderful 32nd Birthday today! You are the light of my life and I love you more and more each and every day *MWAH*!

It was boiling hot today, really a day to stay in with the air-con and do nothing, lol! The heat has been unbelievable! But I had the pleasure of finally [;-)] meeting this gorgeous family and spending a little while with them on the beach. It didn't take long for the heat to get too much but it was so much fun!

Polka Dots & Stripes

I've been told by a dear, dear friend of mine [ :-) ] that I need to work on blogging more this year, so here I am trying to blog more, lol!

I really did want to share these recent pics of Shae! She's 3mths old now and has THE most infectious smile ever. I told you guys that she rolled from back to tummy a few weeks ago, well, now she's rolling from tummy to back as well! Seriously, you can't keep her still and although I adore watching her grow, it's making me sad that she's growing so quick! I guess I will just have to console myself with taking tons of pics of her ;-)

Onto something that made me laugh (although not as much as Hubby I must say). My gorgeous Jassy who is turning 3yrs on the 12th Jan was watching Daddy playing The Simpsons game the other day. If your a huge Simpsons fan like we are, you will know the rather large guy that works in the comic book store?! Well, in The Simpsons game he appears as a sumo wrestler, in the little sumo g-string and all (do you see where I'm going with this! ;-)) So Jassy see's the backside of this comic-book-guy-sumo-wrestler and says "Mummy, he's got a big bum like you!". Now girls and boys, this is something that should NEVER, EVER be said to your Mum no matter how big their bum is! Even if it is said in the sweetest, cutest lil voice you can muster :-)
